Teresa Dias is a pharmacist by training but she has extended her academic learning to become a North American Menopause Society (NAMS) Certified Menopause Practitioner. The designation NCMP confers that status which in effect, recognizes her level of training in menopause. After much study, a long exam and its successful completion, Teresa can now add these credentials to her name. What that effectively means is that she is recognized as being an expert in menopause. That is reassuring and I know that she understands and follows well thought out guidelines for the patients she cares for. However, what makes Teresa spectacular is her level of devotion, her passion and her drive for empowering every woman she sees with knowledge and a comfort level in this quagmire of menopause, its symptoms, signs, distress and personal idiosyncratic issues for women.
