Herbals – Do they help menopause symptoms?
August 15, 2019 @ 8:00 pm - 9:00 pm$10
Women in menopause who don’t want to, or cannot, take hormone therapy often ask me what they should take to help with hot flashes, anxiety, difficulty sleeping, low libido, and other symptoms of menopause. What about herbals, do they help menopause symptoms?
Herbal supplements are non-hormonal therapies, available over-the counter (sold without a prescription), and used widely in the treatment of hot flashes by women all over the world. Women should understand what products work safely and effectively, how to use them properly, and how to avoid inappropriate and unhealthy therapies.
Health food store sales personnel aren’t trained and educated in the products they sell and often make false claims regarding the product’s efficacy. Many herbal products claim to be helpful for menopause symptoms but not all are. Therefore many women spend a lot of money on herbal and “natural” products with access to very little information regarding safety and efficacy.
Join me to learn what herbal products are effective for menopause symptoms and to find out if they are safe and indicated for you.
