What are bioidentical hormones? Are they safe?

September 9, 2020 @ 8:00 pm - 9:00 pm

- $20
What are bioidentical hormones

What are bioidentical hormones? Are they safer than other therapies? There’s no official, standardized definition for bioidentical hormones and this causes a lot of confusion and misinformation.

Bioidentical hormones are one form of therapy for menopausal symptoms.

Most women believe that bioidentical hormones are natural, made from plants, therefore safe.  But there are no hormones in the wild that can be used by women straight from the plant source.

This workshop will provide information about bioidentical hormone therapy (BHT) to help you make educated choices about your menopause management.

You will learn:

  • The meaning of “bioidentical”
  • What bioidentical hormone therapy (BHT) is
  • How BHT helps menopause symptoms
  • The effectiveness and safety of BHT
  • The difference between BHT products
  • Natural versus synthetic therapies
  • If BHT is appropriate for you and your menopause symptoms
  • Whether BHT is approved by Health Canada of the FDA
