A woman-to-woman talk: Decoding the most confusing aisle of the drugstore
September 28, 2021 @ 7:30 pm - 8:30 pm
FREE!
Finding the most appropriate lubricant or moisturizer for you and your needs can seem like an impossible task. It doesn’t have to be.
Have you ever stood in front of the feminine aisle in the drugstore and found it impossible to buy a lubricant or moisturizer because it’s so confusing? How do you know if you need a lubricant or a moisturizer? And what type of lubricant (water, oil, silicone) or moisturizer? Do they all do the same thing?
No, they don’t! There are many options and in this talk you’ll learn the best product(s) for your situation and needs.
Natural lubrication declines in postmenopause due to decreased estrogen, leading to soreness, burning and itching, and painful sex. Discomfort while riding a bicycle, sitting for long periods of time, and wearing tight clothing are also common.
Up to 84% of women experience these changes and challenges but only 4% receive help and support.
Unfortunately, many women don’t feel comfortable asking their physician or pharmacist for advice, and so end up buying a less-than-ideal product – one that’s not appropriate, not as effective, or even irritating or harmful.
In this talk you’ll learn:
- How to choose the most appropriate product—lubricant or moisturizer—for your individual vaginal and sexual wellness needs
- The difference between lubricants and moisturizers and when to use one versus the other
- The difference between the different types of lubs and moisturizers
- Which products you should avoid
- The best treatment when lubs and moisturizers don’t work
- When to see and what to ask your doctor/gynecologist
Bonus – The first 15 registrants will receive samples of one of the best lubs available, and definitely my favourite.
