Finding Balance
November 16, 2021 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm
FREE!
As you age, bone mineral is gradually lost making the bones weaker and more prone to fracturing or breaking. In the years following menopause (the last menstrual period) the rate at which bone mineral is lost is faster than at any other time of your life.
- At least 1 in 3 women will break a bone due to osteoporosis in their lifetime
- Fragility fractures represent 80% of all fractures in women in postmenopause over the age of 50
- Fractures from osteoporosis are more common than heart attack, stroke and breast cancer combined
No single cause for osteoporosis has been identified but you should be aware of all the factors that contribute to strong and healthy bones, and control those that you can, such as nutrition and exercise.
Join me and my guest expert, Kate Milne, a Clinical Exercise Physiologist and the founder of Age Sister, and learn why is so important for women in the menopause transition to have an exercise program, the importance of balance and strength, and Kate’s four top tips for healthy 50+ living.

It’s time we redefined what it means to be a 50+ woman. Kate can help you go from feeling like you don’t recognize your body anymore to feeling stronger, confident, and in charge of your aging.
